Alejandro Vera Arias (he/him)
Alejandro Vera is a BA international relations, philosophy, and political science student minoring in Core studies (CAS '27).
Vera is a writer for the Africa section in the International Relations Review and a senior editor for Arché. He's a writer and researcher for IMPACT and a member of the CAS student government. He's also an intern in Pardee's alumni relations office.
​In his free time, Vera likes to rock climb, listen to music, read, and explore nature.

Eric Hsu (he/him)
I am a junior at Boston University majoring in Political Science and Sociology. My passion for American politics was sparked by the 2016 presidential election, motivating me to engage in political discourse and advocacy.
As the Senior Editor for the Boston Political Review’s Local Politics section, I am dedicated to analyzing and editing coverage of Massachusetts politics.
Outside of BPR, I enjoy staying informed on current events, writing, and exploring Boston.

Dana Becker (she/her)
Dana Becker is an Economics and Psychology major (CAS ’29).
Along with being Secretary, she also writes for the US. Politics Section at BPR and edits for the Nerve Journal. Additionally, she is a research assistant at BU’s Cognition and Decision-making Lab.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, and spending time in nature.

Sarah Imran is a Pre Law student pursuing a Neuroscience and Philosophy major (CAS 2'). She is the social media manager at BPR.

Mia Brown (she/her)
Mia Brown is a political science and international relations student (CAS '28, PAR '28)
She is a Research Assistant for a doctoral candidate with BU's Institute for Economic Development. She has also previously worked with the nonprofit H2Alabama, and the Sprio Cheriogotis for Mayor campaign in Mobile, Alabama.
In her free time, she likes to read, do yoga, go to the beach, and try different cafes around the city.

Isabelle Zhang (she/her)
Isabelle Zhang is a pre-law student pursuing a dual degree in Journalism and Political Science.
Zhang writes for the News and Features section of the Daily Free Press and serves as a Writer for the Pre-Law Society's Legal Writing and Research Team. She's also a student ambassador for the College of Communications.
When she's not writing or editing, Zhang can be found crocheting, attending concerts, or reading a good book.

Kainat Deo is a Political Science major and is pursuing a minor in Journalism. (CAS 28'). She is a Research Assistant at BU's Center on Forced Displacement, serves as the secretary of BU Outing Club, and is a member of organizations such as Phi Alpha Delta, WTBU Radio, and the Sikh Student Association.

Elyse Shaffer (she/her)
Elyse Shaffer is a pre-law student pursuing a degree in English (CAS '29.) She has also written for the Pre-Law Society's Legal Writing and Research Committee.

Jane Guay (she/her)
Jane Guay is a freshman majoring in journalism while also minoring in innovation & entrepreneurship. (COM ‘29). Her passion for journalism sparked from a social justice lens, hoping to one day get rid of false and hateful narratives of marginalized groups, and make sure all voices were being heard in the media.
Guay takes her journalism passion all around Boston University, from being an associate editor for the global section of BPR to live-calling BU basketball and ice hockey games for WTBU Sports Radio. Guay also writes for the Sports section of the Daily Free Press, is an analyst for BUTV10’s Offsides and Terrier Nation, and is the Politics section editor and the Sports section editor for WTBU News.

Giselle Ntiamoah-Larbi (she/her)
Giselle Ntiamoah-Larbi is pursuing a Political Science & International Relations major with a minor in Chinese (CAS 28'). Also involved in the Chinese Student Leadership Cluster as the Vice Chair of the Course Promotion Committee. A member of multiple clubs, including RUF, YEMinistry, SoulAAN, Sisters United, and also part of the African Language Cluster at the Global House.

Ada Sussman is a junior at Boston University pursuing a BA in Sociology and a BS in Journalism with a minor in Urban Studies. She is also senior columnist and former editor of the Opinion Section of the Daily Free Press, an archival research intern, and a research assistant working with the Occupations, Organizations, and Work section of the American Sociological Association. Outside of her work, she loves to cook, hike, bike, and watch movies.​

Shawna James (she/her)
Shawna James is a BS Journalism student (COM '28). A proud member of BU's acappella group Terpsichore, you can always find her doing something musical – usually singing or listening to her favorite playlists – or spending time with her friends. In addition, she is a member of the Sigma Delta Tau Sorority – Alpha Xi Chapter, and is a writer for the national chapter of the food blog Spoon University.

Madeleine (Mojo) Woodman (she/her)
Madeleine (Mojo) Woodman is a freshman here at BU majoring in Political Science and Economics. She has worked as a research assistant for studies on protest demographics under the Biden and Trump administrations through the University of Glasgow and has been involved in civic engagement efforts for common sense gun control.
In addition to her involvement in politics, she spends every summer at camp in Texas and grew up ski racing.
